ACUPUNCTURE FOR GYNAECOLOGICAL AND OBSTETRIC CONDITIONS

Acupuncture for Painful Periods (Dysmenorrhoea)
Acupuncture is a very effective treatment for period pain. Not only does acupuncture relieve the pain but also aids to remove stagnated energy so as to regulate uterus motility to facilitate proper bleeding and alleviate further pain. It is also beneficial for endometriosis pain.

Acupuncture for Fertility and Infertility
In genenral, acupuncture can increase fertility in both men and women, increasing the chances of conception. For acupuncture for infertility due to various causes, results can be very effective, particularly with infertility due to inflammatory obstruction of the fallopian tubes.

Acupuncture in Childbirth
Acupuncture can be very effective, not only to reduce labour pain, reduce the time in labour, but also to induce labour in prolonged pregnancy. In fact, clinical studies have shown that acupuncture's effect for inducing labour is comparable to conventional labour induction therapy using oxytocin by intravenous drip.

Acupuncture and TCM can treat further gynecological and obstetric problems such as:

  • PMS
  • Morning sickness and nausea
  • Breached pregnancy
  • Promotion of lactation after childbirth
  • Post-natal depression
